Service Description

This class is specifically designed for the University of Miami students, who are active members of the Kite Club. In order to qualify , current UM students must first meet club guidelines, pay their club dues and sign the waiver forms. Lessons are boat based, and the meeting point will be at our school located in Coconut Grove (EFOILUSA at US SAILING CENTER). We offer free parking near the building , as well as the two main lots adjacent to Kennedy Park. Bathrooms are located on the second floor of the building,. Personal belongings can be stored either inside our trailer or in the conference room upstairs. We ask you to please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to departure , as to not delay the travel time. Our goal is to host an exclusive series of days for UM students, and due to boat capacity, we will keep each session to a maximum of 4 private students or 6 students ( if sharing a lesson). The lessons are typically 2 hours long ( lesson time) excluding the travel time to the sand bar and back to the dock. The boat will only return to the dock once all lessons are finished. We do not have the means to return earlier , so please plan your schedule accordingly. All kiting and safety equipment such as kites, board, harness, life jackets and helmets will be provided, personal items such as wetsuit and water shoes are the students responsibility. Lessons are scheduled according to weather forecast , we will periodically be checking wind speed and direction as well as tides. Advanced riders , renting their own gear may also join and ride without the supervision of an instructor.Available for IKO LEVEL 3 Riders . Lessons are on the first come, first serve basis. Please make your cancelations within 24 hours from your scheduled lesson. No shows will not be refunded. Our goal is to get each student to a Level 3 ( Independent) Rider status .
